| LOCATION AND ACCESSIBILITY | ||
| Paros is located in the centre of the Cyclades, a position that made out of it a knot in the ferries schedules: the Island is easily accessible from all other Cycladic islands as well as from the mainland. From April until October there are several boat itineraries that connect Paros with all the nearby islands, as well as with Athens (2,5 to 5 hours from the port of Rafina & 3 to 6,5 hours from the port of Piraeus), Thessalonica (about 15 hours) and Crete (from 2,5 to 5 hours.) There are also frequent airplane itineraries from Athens. During the off season period (November through March), there are still some regular boat itineraries connecting daily Paros with the rest of the Cyclades and there are at least 4 boats every day to Athens (port of Piraeus). Also, there is at least one daily flight to Athens in winter time, from November until March. |
